C. AERATION

A volume of approximately 1,500 cu ft of air per lb of BOD loading is provided by blower(s). BOD loading is based on 0.21 lb/day/person and 100 gals/day/person.

D. CONSTRUCTION

1. Models 20EFO through 75EFO are supplied as a single unit, Model 100EFO as a single or three part unit, and Models 150EFO through 500EFO as three-part units.

2. Each system is a complete sewage treatment plant consisting of an aeration tank, a settling clarifier tank, and an ozone contact discharge tank. Walls of the tanks are constructed of fiberglass-reinforced plastic sufficiently ribbed or reinforced to withstand interior hydrostatic pressure and, if buried, outside soil pressure.

3. The tanks are provided with lifting handles to facilitate handling.

4. Special anchoring tiedowns are provided upon cusomer's request.

5. Piping is specified to satisfy application requirements and comply with local codes.

6. Mechanical and electrical equipment is integrally connected to form a complete system. The vessels are constructed of fiberglass-reinforced isophthalic resin. All mechanical and electrical components are removable and replaceable.

7. The aeration chamber is fully enclosed with manholes located for easy access to pumps and aeration equipment. If the clarifier and chlorine contact tanks have covers (optional), manholes will be provided for necessary access.

8. The system is provided with gravity overflow pipe so arranged as to relieve head levels greater than normal capacity of plant(s).
